Con Edison Company of New York (CECONY) and Orange & Rockland (O&R) Utilities, both regulated operating companies of Consolidated Edison, Inc. (NYSE: ED), have contracted with OMNETRIC Group, a smart grid solution provider and Siemens and Accenture joint venture, to implement Siemens EnergyIP. The project will support the utilities’ advanced metering infrastructure (AMI) project for more than 3.9 million electric and 1.3 million gas customers.
